It’s just remarkable to have so much wonderfulness happening! Getting to spend so much time with beautiful, brave, creative people is such a blessing.
In June I am offering several opportunities for you to get involved in the magic:
ReStory at Life in 10 Minutes
Tuesday evenings June 12 – July 31 (no class July 3)
I LOVE teaching this class! The stories that come out are beyond description. Reserve your seat:
The most empowering thing a person can do is to reclaim the story of their life. We carry shame and fear that the world will discover the truth – we’ve experienced pain, we’ve made mistakes, we are faking it a lot of the time. The truth is that none of us are born with an instruction manual and NO ONE knows what the hell they are doing.
If you have decided you want to stop hiding, stop pretending, and take back your power then ReStory is your gateway. In this series you will learn to tell a great story; to find humor, lessons, and meaning in the challenging experiences of your life; and at the end you will stand-up in front of the world to share your unique and important perspective with your classmates and invited guests. Each participant will prepare a 5 minute piece to be shared at the final performance on July 31st!
Your story belongs to you. It has the power to change the world. Learn to tell it in a way that makes you feel proud of who you are and of all you’ve overcome.
#IfYouCouldSeeMe: The Women Speak
Thursday, June 7th at 7 pm
We believe in the power of Stories for Change. These art and storytelling events shine light into the darkness, help us all to see the humanity in ourselves and in others, and can be the place where big change begins.
People don’t take the time to see each other. We make judgments, we attach labels, we assume – we often do not see. I believe in seeing, hearing, learning, and being present with one another. The worst thing that a person can feel in this life is invisible. To be seen is to be truly alive.
Seven magnificent women will share their stories of survival, perseverance, and triumph! Portrait photography by Dean Whitbeck, some music, and lots of love, authenticity, and power. Come witness the magic.
This time the Women Speak.
