Crying is Pooping

There is no shame in either of these normal bodily functions...and yet...we internalize a great deal of it anyway! Taking shame off the table first requires us to recognize all the ways that shame has been used to control us or keep us small so that our emotional experiences of the world don't make others uncomfortable. I'm here to say that facing our discomfort is the only way to overcome its power. I love you all. You are beautiful and perfect in all your many aspects. You are allowed to like yourself even though you cry, and poop, and make mistakes, and feel things in your own way. You are worthy.

How are you opening yourself up to the possibility that shame may no longer be serving you?
